Thank you for sharing! I've only been there to visit, but it does seem like a lovely town.

I really hope they can find a good match. I'll be sad to see them leave.

You should look at Mundelein. Good schools, diverse community, and affordable neighborhoods.

Thanks for this. I'm fairly certain she's not interested in Mundelein given where she's coming from, but I'll add it to the list.

If you are looking for a well off community with incredible diversity and one of the top (if not the top) high school in the area (not counting selective admission ones like Northside, Payton, IMSA), then Stevenson HS (Lake Co 125) is a dream fit. Stevenson draws from about 12 towns with excellent K-8 schools such as Lincolnshire (AESHS location), Buffalo Grove, Long Grove.

I am a retired teacher and I substitute at Stevenson. I am in awe of this school in every way imaginable.

We are in D125 and my husband is a Stevenson grad so we are very familiar with it.

It is but they don't want Palatine HS. I suppose they would consider Fremd but not sure about diversity there.

I appreciate everyone's input. My friend shared with me last week that things have gotten much better as of late so they are going to wait and see if it continues before listing their house. Fingers crossed.
