There are many even larger homes south of 75th St. School borders go pretty far south before you get into the Bolingbrook area. Other than commute issues and different era/style of subdivision there is not much that'd be of concern, unless has recentely changed...

Naperville is definatly top notch when it comes to schools and neighborhood. Very safe and very friendly. Another good spot is Oswego. I grew up there and went to their schools and Boulder Hill Elementary and Old Post are great. My daughter went to Ellsworth in Naperville and they have a great curriculum, wonderful teachers and an awesome environment. Aurora isn't bad everywhere and even the "bad" spots are getting cleaned up. North Aurora is pretty good but stay away from downtown as the schools are having lots of problems.
