Long Grove and Ford Heights..... Ford Heights and Long Grove.....

Yeah I see a lot in common there!

Yes, but Ford Heights is a basket case, and is one of the poorest suburbs in the country, which needs some police. Long Grove does not.

State legislature is debating whether to define burned tires as "renewable energy." Since a tire incineration plant is a main industry in Ford Heights, it would be a small economic boost to the village. I suppose the police department may be reactivated.

No, it's not. Don't worry about it. You'll be a good twenty-five minutes away from Ford Heights at least. In the city, there are upscale neighorhoods just a few blocks away from ghettos. Think about it.

I'd be more concerned about the lack of shopping options and things to do in Crete (although it's better than Monee, Beecher or Univerity Park). There tends to be a lot more shopping options and things to do in the other "nearby areas" you've heard so much many bad things about on this forum. Not Ford Heights though.. It's a dump. I mean Chicago Heights or anything other than Ford Heights that's off of Lincoln Highway.

The strip club wasn't a good enough economic boost..
