Default Will-Cook Rd widening

Greetings,

We have found an excellent house in Orland Park off of Will-Cook Rd (139/WC). Our only concern is that the house (townhouse) is an end unit and it backs up to W/C and also, has anyone heard of possible widening W/C to four lanes? I know alot of people live next to a main road, etc however we are concerned for #1 noise, and #2 re-sale. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Nope not a chance in hell that Will Cook is going to be widened any time soon. The state is broke, county is supposedly broke, and that road is not nearly as busy as nearby Wolf or Bell both of which are in DIRE need of widening and there is no talk in the next 10 years of widening either of those two either.

Sorry to be so brusk here, but if noise from little itty bitty Will Cook Road is going to bother you, then my suggestion would be to move WAY out into the middle of nowhere because by no means is Will Cook Rd a noisey road like others in town are such as La Grange or 159th Street are.

Resale in the town is still pretty good even though the market plain out sucks and is only getting worse as the value of the dollar still is going down the drain, which is pretty good that Orland homes are still moving; shows there is a good demand for homes in the town so apparently the town and others around it are doing something right.

Thanks for the reply..the only reason i'm concerned for the Noise is because half of the year i work midnights and have to sleep during the day so we have to be picky where we live. Thanks for your time.
