Default Buffalo Grove Cook County vs Lake County

I have been looking at homes in Buffalo Grove and have focused my search on Lake County side because of Stevenson H.S. I have read and heard that Stevenson is better than BF grove high school.

But I am not finding what I want. My price range seems realistic for what I'm looking for but I am thinking of expanding my search to include Cook County as well. I have kids ranging from Jr. High to preschool so schools are super important.

I would love to hear pros and cons of Cook County vs Lake County for Buffalo grove. School quality differences, is one safer than the other etc.

Is the jewish population larger on one county than the other? We are looking for qualty schools, very safe area, and a good size jewish population.

We are in the same situation. According to my friends who already live there, lake county is definitely more jewish. The elementary schools perform higher too. However, lake county has higher taxes. We finally found a home in Old Farm Village after 3 trips and seeing many many houses.
