My family and I want to move around the Bolingbrook area. We need to know which suburb is affordable and the people are friendly. We want to find a single family home that runs no more than $200,000.00. Is there such a home? (Not Joliet, Aurora, or Lisle) Please help!!

Try Lockport or Romeoville, but expect to look for an older home. Plainfield is another option, as is Lamont. All between Joliet and Bollingbrook.

You can find an awesome ranch in good schools in Bolingbrook for that money.
People are very friendly in Bolingbrook and they have tons of community events for free.

Have fun...I miss the town. So far the best place I ever lived.

From what I've seen, the only thing you get for that price is a fixer-upper. Maybe a good option would be a town home. Plenty of them and the prices have come down since last year. A brand new Mall just went up at Boughton and Janes, with Maceys, Bass, Ikea, tons of stores and restaurants. good luck.

Don't move to Bolingbrook. Complete ghetto. There's a nice section but from the most part it's turned trash. Avoid this at all costs.

Which areas would you consider to be a ghetto. I am looking for a townhouse, but it seems the only places that I won't go broke (single woman who doesn't want a house, but doesn't want an apartment/condo either) are out in bolingbrook.

I wouldn't say the schools are that good either.
