Question Info on these South Chicago suburbs?

I like to read and study about cities and things like that, and right now Im trying to learn about the South Chicago suburbs. So I was wondering if people from these places could give me info on these cities. These are the places, and it is a long list.

Hammond,Indiana
Calumet City
Calumet park
Chicago Heights
Country Club Hills
Dolton
Flossmor
Glenwood
Harvey
Hazel Crest
Homewood
Lansing
Lynwood
Matteson
Markham
Riverdale
Robbins
South Holland
Oak Lawn
Munster,Indiana
The info can be positive and negative things.I was actually in Harvey and South Holland one time, not for very long though just a pass through type thing. But It made me curious about what the area is like.It looked like a pretty interesting place.

In the meantime, you can do a "search" of each of these towns on this forum as they have all been discussed. SHould give you a good start.

I've already kind of been doing that, but some of the threads about these cities seem to get off topic. Thanks for the idea anyway though.

Flossmoor and Munster would be on the higher end of the range. Neither town requires being extraordinarily wealthy, but the high end housing can be expensive. You might get less 'house for the dollar' than in many of the other towns on the list.

What sorts of information do you want? Where will you be working/going to school, etc? The total area you're asking about is a bit spread out.

I would prefer many of the NWI communities (Schererville, St John, Dyer, CP, etc.) to most of the South Suburbs on the IL side. Munster is fine as well, but it's crowded and tends to be on the expensive side (presumably b/c it's so close to the expressway and Chicago and its school system).

I wasn't looking to relocate to this area or anything.I just like to study other cities to see what there like.I just want to know what its like to live in these cities?I've already gotten alot of statistical information on these cities.
