Good localities near Libertyville ? (Mundelein, Gurnee: houses, move to, affordable)

I am planning to move to the libertyville area. I was wondering what could be good localities ( within 300K) for houses close to libertyville area?

Check out Mundelein, Gurnee, Grayslake, etc. All are towns that are near Libertyville, but are a bit more affordable compared to Libertyville.
