I'm pretty sure that they have a shuttle of some sort. You might want to contact someone at the company to confirm this. I have seen vans that appear to be shuttles at the Lake Bluff Metra station before. And geographically the Lake Bluff & Great Lakes stations on the Union Pacific North line and the Libertyville station on the Milwaukee North line are the closest to Abbott Laboratories. A car commute from a north side neighborhood would probably run about an hour give or take a few minutes. All depends though, the northbound traffic for you in the morning would be a bit hairy until you hit Lake-Cook and cross from Cook County into Lake County. Going home would be traffic clogged south of Lake-Cook Road but you can always take local roads (ie. Sheridan Rd, Waukegan Rd, etc.)

And how long of a commute by car from a neighboorhood north of the loop?
Thanks.
