Oh - I was thinking Tuesday this week. Hope she is feeling Ok. Any luck with getting the baby on the waiting list at the childcare place across the street?

There is not a list yet. I need to keep my eyes and ears open, as the building is improved. But, if we don't make the list for spring, we'll try then for fall. We'll only need childcare for a few months after she has the baby and I think we may have that covered with family and friends.

That makes sense. You and your family are in my thoughts. You're a good mom so I guess that means she will be too

Wow! Yesterday and today went well. However, Courtney had a major migraine yesterday - so anyone with any help with migraines and pregnancy I would appreciate. But anyway, she had the ultrasound yesterday, and everything looks fine. She and her boyfriend got to see the baby and the heartbeat and of course, I cried. It was just yesterday, when I had an ultrasound while carrying her. Both of them didn't say much afterwards, I think reality began to set in. Today she had an OB appointment. The doctor was fabulous. She talked to Courtney in such a manner that made her really feel comfortable and informed her of all the things she needs to do: Gain 25 pounds, exercise, and take her vitamins. ( She can't take prenatal vitamins so for now shes taking Flintstone gummies. She's to try taking the prenatal vitamins as soon as the nausea goes away more) She also gave her a prescription for Zofran ( for nausea ). Yesterday she couldn't keep anything down.
Then we got to hear the heartbeat. Kinda fast (150 beats.) The baby is officially due January 27. So we've made appointments through October and her next ultrasound will be on 9/18. As weird as it sounds this makes everything so real to me as well and not just the word "Pregnant" if you know what I mean. Thanks to all of you for your kindness, I'll continue to keep you informed.
