Me too! Chicago's various ethnic neighborhoods is part of what makes it unique.

haha technically you're correct, but in this day and age 'spanish' refers mostly to people who are mexican, cuban, dominican, puerto rican, etc. even though they're 'hispanic'. by the way, what hispanic race has majorite in the chicago area? also, do a lot of cubans live in chicago?
that's hilarious
I am Cuban-American, and frankly, I feel like I am the only one in ALL of Chicago.

Yep, can't think of any well-known "Cuban neighborhoods" in the city. The biggest most well-known Hispanic/Latin enclaves in Chicago are definitely Mexican and Puerto Rican.

There is a relatively small Cubam population in Chicago. I wonder why that is. Excuse my ignorance, but are there large Cuban populations in other big cities besides Miami?

chicago, basically, is very diverse. once on the food channel actually, they went to a cuban restaurant someplace in chicago. There is a decent cuban population there I think, but certainly not as many as mexican, colombian, and puerto rican. i mean if you think about it, places like Florida (Miami) and NY have large cuban populations and it makes no sense that many would live in Chicago since Florida and NY are directly north. anyway, here is an info page on Cubans in Chicago if youre interested....
