Default Garage / basement / mother-in-law apts in Burr Ridge?

I'm looking at the Burr Ridge area, and I've found some inexpensive apartment complexes, but I was wondering if there are garage/basement apartments around here, and how do I find them? Most resources only give me listings for the city or complexes, and there's nothing on craigslist.

I doubt that the incorporated portion of Burr Ridge is going to allow multi-family dwellings in the areas zoned for single family except as grandfathered situations that pre-date the incorporation. Very large, high dollar subdivisions dominate.

Much more likely to find something more affordable to the south in Willow Springs or the unincorporated areas.

If you are, OTOH looking to buy a large house you may find some have the sorts of accommodations that would support related living in that BR area as well as the unincorporated area between Rt 83 and Cass Ave sometimes known as "Timberlake" or simply "unincorporated Hinsdale"... Zoning will generally not permit renting.
