I am thinking about buying my first place in Four lakes in Lisle. I love the area and for what I can afford it seams to be a good idea. Anyone live there now? What are your thoughts? Thank you

My best friend's father lived in there for years before he passed away last year. I know it like the back of my hand but it is a HUGE complex. Your guests can easily get lost in there.
![]() It's a really nice area. You're right near Bulls/Sox academy and basically right down the street from downtown Lisle (not that there is a ton to do in downtown Lisle but I love the Book Nook!) You're really close to downtown Naperville there as well if you like Naper. It's a good time to buy there too. It was a pain to try to sell his place so I know you can get a good deal in there. Good luck. |

It is a nice area, but I would be cautious about buying there unless you know you will be staying for awhile. I have known people who have had a difficult time selling places there, so you should be sure you will live there long enough to wait out the market. People looking to buy condos have a lot of newer choices in the burbs, but if you want to stay awhile you should be able to get a good deal. Also, make sure you research the condo association andd make sure they have plenty of reserve money, make sure tennants are paying assessments, etc... if they are messed up, that may be why people are having trouble selling.

There are a lot of OLD units in Four Lakes -- let's say Jan Brady was the designer...
