We've gone through this before, and I can probably name a hundred things that Naperville has that the Peoria area doesnt. Im not saying that some areas in Peoria are lacking in any way, but Naperville is far more trendy, therefore having more upscale stuff that even other trendy suburbs might not have, thats all.

When did Peoria become a suburb of Chicago? I don't think there are many people looking for homes in Chicagoland that decide to look just a little further out in Peoria.

You might as well compare it to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Naperville is nice, its cute, good schools, friendly community. If I had to decide between say Buffalo Grove or Naperville, it would be Naperville.

Well I woulnd't say being "trendy" has a direct link to being a nice place to live. May I direct your attention to LA?

I don't recall anyone ever saying that Peoria was a suburb?

Yeah, that's the major thing that Naperville has that Peoria suburbs don't have--access to Chicago, and all that goes along with that (but primarily a booming job market).

Naperville is a nice, sensible, boring choice for most people. It's the Banana Republic of suburbs... Nicer than the Gap (Schaumburg), but not quite as nice as the designer stuff (North Shore).

I said it brings in nicer places. Places like Sullivans, Rosebuds, etc...things of that nature... you know, the stuff you wont find in, say, Streamwood or Hanover Park.
