A Quick History of Naperville - For people interested in relocating to there
A Quick History on Naperville, IL
Country: United States
State: Illinois
County: DuPage, Will
Area: 35 Square Miles
- Land: 34.9 Square Miles
- Water: .1 Square Miles
Climate: Tropical
Naperville was founded in 1831 by Joseph Naper. Originally over one hundred people lived at what is known today as the Naper Settlement which is a now tourist attraction. After residents moved out of the Naper Settlement the town became known as the Village of Naperville in 1857. During the industrial revolution in the late 1880's the the town became known as The City of Naperville due to the increase in residents in the area. It was officially known as The City of Naperville in 1890. Naperville was a farming town from the 1800's up until the early 1990's
Naperville's population grew vastly in the 1980's and 1990's. The current Naperville population is over 150,000 residents and contains over 50,000 housing structures. The median household income is $150,000 per year. Naperville has over a thousand multi-million dollar houses which were constructed in the 1990's by contractors from the nearby towns of Darien, Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Wheaton.
Naperville made a transformation from a farming town into a corporate business's wet dream. The City of Naperville has Walgreen's and CVS's on every street corner and has multiple Targets, Jewels, and Dominics. The pollution in Naperville is increasing each year, due to the 500,000 SUVs driven through it each day by the Yuppie-Cubicle-Workers which make up 97.673% of the population in Naperville and the surrounding Cities. SUVs are needed so the Yuppies do not get stuck in a crack on the road. With the roads clogged by SUVs, Minivans and Semi-Trucks it may take one thirty minutes to travel five blocks during daylight hours and an hour to get through the Portillo's Drive-Thru. To fit in with the average sheep in Naperville one must wear either a Gucci Suit and Tie or a Polo Shirt and Dockers and have atleast three SUVs in your brick driveway.

Jealous much? Yet another person with Naperville envy. I love when people wish they lived in our great city.
...and I worked at Naper Settlement a long time ago...so keep talking about it like you know where it is.

I think that this should be removed. This is fairly odd for someone to post something like that. Who is this person, they obviously don't know about it if they think it is tropical and wants a cheap apartment there. Actually, most builders who build in Naperville are from Naperville and I disagree that there are over a thousand multi-million dollar homes. I would say Naperville has over 500 home worth over $1,000,000 but to say it has over one-thousand homes over $2,000,000 is simply insane and there is no information to back that up.
