Happy Monday everyone!
![]() Long Grove or Kenilworth.... which one would you rather live in and why? |

My driver doesn't know his way to Long Grove, so Kennilworth it is! They really know how to service my fleet of Bentleys up there.

Right oh, Lookout Kid! Kenilworth is so upper crust with its British themed street names names and appearance one half expects the local cops to be driving "jam sandwiches" and the kids at Sears Schools to come home with "drawerings" of them playing cricket...

I really enjoyed the few years I lived in Kenilworth as a young child. We happened to live in a part of it where 5 of the 7 houses closest to mine had kids my age, which was very nice.
As an adult, I'd prefer the lower population density of Long Grove. On the other hand, I'm just into "move where my daughter will have a better experience" phase, which swings back to the somewhat denser suburbs. |

Wow, great choices. These two cities are really apples and oranges. Long Grove gives you large lots and Stevenson HS, a creepy downtown and a real country feeling. Kenilworth gives you dinky lots, but you get the lake, commuting is a breeze, downtown is nonexistant, NTHS, and a close knit community.
I'd pick Kenilworth, mainly for the architecture. I prefer older rehabbed homes. Last edited by Anthera; 07-07-2008 at 01:56 PM.. |

The shops are all gift shops ( aside form the ice cream store) there doesn't appear to be anything the actual residents of Long Grove would buy. The shoppers all appear to be 80 years old or older, and seem to be part of large groups. Its just too "Ye Olde Gifte Shoppee" for me. |

I like it because it reminds me of a place youd find in Door County, WI. ![]() |

I like Door County too, but downtown Long Grove, well maybe I'm just flashing back to the time I took a charter to London in college and found myself on a plane full of Globus Tour clients (complete with the obligitory Globus bags).

Wow, Long Grove is getting smoked. This is the first lopsided poll yet.
