Default Need help finding a suburb

Hello All! I’m currently living in Woodridge and working at 200 Applied Pkwy, University Park, IL. My lease is up in Dec ‘08 and I am looking for a new apartment. I will have to drive to work, as the train does not come close enough to be viable option there, but I’d like to live close to a metra station. My girlfriend lives right off the metra north of Chicago.

My biggest concerns are short driving time to and from work, easy access to metra from home, and low crime rate (Hope I've made it specific enough to narrow down the search!). Do you guys have any suggestions?

Tinley Park would be close to your work (via 57), close to Metra, and it's a safe town with a lot of apartments. However, you would be quite far from your girlfriend. If she lives north of Chicago and you work in Univ. Park, I'm not sure you have many better options.

I suppose you could check out other areas along 57, closer to the city. But then you are going to have more crime to worry about.

Thanks BJT83! I know it's going to be rough making it up to see my girlfriend. That's why I was hoping to find a close metra station. Tinley Park looks like a great location for my needs. Thanks for the help!!
