Joliet definitely. I have lived in Cicero. I need say no more.

BJT83 is on a distinguished road
Wow, I think this is actually the hardest one so far. There are some pretty nice areas of Joliet, but on the whole I choose Cicero based on proximity to the city and surrounding communities like Oak Park and Berwyn (love the bungalows). Plus, Joliet is surrounded by some VERY conservative burbs, which is not my cup of tea.

With gas prices where they are, you can forget about driving downtown from Joliet with any regularity.

I admit it was funny, but cmon. Its not like someone is forcing you to live in one or the other, its just a simple poll that requires the participant to simply click on either "Joliet" or "Cicero", based on what town appeals to them more. Either one or the other will appeal to you more, even in the slightest bit.

I think there are some decent places in Joliet such as new townhome developments. Cicero has just gotten scary, plain and simple. The only reason we go near it is for Freddy's pizza occasionally.

I like Hawthorne as better waster of gambling money than the riverboat, Morton is pretty much a wash the JJC but overall J has a lot more going for it...
