Is it possible to buy $200,000 house in Flossmoor ?
My sister is house hunting, and looking for a new house in the $200k-230k range. So far we been looking for houses in South Holland, but in my personal opinion, she be better in Flossmoor, but I'm not sure Flossmoor have any decent houses in that price range. So are there any decent houses in this price range in Flossmoor, IL ?

On realtor.com there are 17 SFHs under 200k in Flossmoor ... some of them are actually pretty nice, though they could use some updating.

There are a few homes for under $230,000 in Flossmoor, but they're usually not that large or require quite a bit of updating or upgrading.

Also, you'd rather be in Homewood than South Holland and for under 200k you can get a decent house in Homewood.
Have you realtor look from Regal west to the Flossmoor border.

There are some homes available for under $230K in Flossmoor, but they are typically foreclosures or homes that need a fair amount of work or updating. Homewood has plenty of homes that need nothing except for you to move right in for under $230K. Good luck.

You might also want to check into an area of Chicago Heights that is north of Joe Orr Road (near Marian Catholic HS) nice brick homes, Flossmoor (District 161) grade schools and Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

Flossmoor is a wonderful place to live. Just be very careful about the house in regards to water issues. Many neighborhoods in Flossmoor have flooding problems. Those sump pumps in Flossmoor can get a hearty workout after the rain!!!

We will need to move soon regrettably, due to my wife's work. We have a house in Flossmoor. Perhaps we can strike a deal pre-realtors. If interested let me know on here and I can give you a mini-tour of the area as well if you'd like.

I agree, it was a problem back in 2005. I know the Army Corps of Engineers has come and done some massive work since though and though we're in the lowlands, we make it through the rain.
