Default Plainfield Schools?

I'm considering purchasing a house in northern Plainfield. Grande Park to be precise. It seems like a nice community, and my housing dollar goes pretty far there, but I'm not sure about the schools. The elementary school, Grande Park Elementary, is only a year old so test scores haven't been posted for me to be able to evaluate performance. Does anyone have any insight on the schools in that area?

My other option is a few miles north in southern Naperville, but I'll have to spend $100K more for a little less house and excellent schools.

Plenty of better resources online for this. Illinois State Board of Education website and GreatSchools.net are two examples.

This is in Oswego Dist 308 Grande Park Elementary School - Oswego Community Schools

Generally, dist 308 is pretty good; but I can understand it is harder to gauge an one-year-old school. It is not listed in Greatschool.com probably for that reason; too young. But you should still look here, just to see how the other schools are doing in the same dist.

I could be wrong, but I believe half of Grande Parke falls in Plainfield's school district, and half is in Oswego's school district. So you may want to find out which district rates better and then find out which homes/lots fall in which district. As a pp said, you can look up stats on the Illinois state report card and great schools.
