Family Circle August 2008, lists Wheeling as one of the best 10 towns in the United States, I am looking to purchase real estate; while the location of Wheeling would work, I never knew it was such a hot location. Anyone else feeling this?

Enjoyed many great meals at LeFrancais in Wheeling back in '90s...

Would purposefully schedule a meal there whenever visiting Chicago for business....

Haven't been to Wheeling in many yrs, but Alinea does great work in feeding the hungry business traveler...

Ah, LaFrancais. It is missed, but Michael's in Winnetka is run by one of its former chefs and does similar classic french food. You should try it sometime.

Mai Tai's, (although sounds like the best thing in Wheeling) were not listed as why Wheeling was picked- but instead Family Circle awarded them as winners and based their decision on:

"great schools, great neighbors and making smart moves to save the planet."

Therefore the family they interviewed in Wheeling - said they based their decision to move to Wheeling because:

30% of their neighbors are immigrants or minorities-- I love the whole world in our little cul-de-sac."

Also-Buffalo Grove High was recently awarded a Blue Ribbon and Wheeling spent $2 million to convert vacant lots into "pocket parks."

Go Wheeling with your bad self!!! I guess we never knew!!

PS - they listed this website to gather more city data on Wheeling!!
