They also ignore that by making transport-by-train more difficult, they increase regional truck traffic. Have they considered the safety issues that poses?

You got all that from this safety announcement? Where does it make those political statements? I only posted this to remind parents to be extra vigilant as our communities adjust to the increased train traffic this March. I think most residents have accepted the fact that more CN trains are coming. I know I have and I don't really have a problem with it. Not sure why everyone wants to continue to rip on Barrington...

My comment wasn't much of a rip... Though some of my earlier comments were!

You do have to admit that Barrington represents some form of escapism.

Why? Most of my neighbors are down to earth, law abiding citizens who happen to like being surrounded by trees and nature. I look at old oaks, hills, a pond, coyotes, horses, deer, Herons etc. Dont hear a peep during the day and its very peaceful all nite. Escape-ok, I'll take escape.

Kind, well-educated neighbors; an involved, proactive community; fields, woods, marshes, and lakes for your kids to explore; and a higher-performing school district.... Yeh, I'll also take escapism any day...
