Default What is the area like in Arlington Heights: Falcon & Gobbert Roads??

Anyone know about this area? My husband and I are interested in a condo in that area and are wondering about the area safety and entertainment. There's ALGONQUIN to the south and GOLF to the north, Falcon & Gobbert Road?

Have you driven east on Algonquin? Some questionable apartments not far from the area you describe. They may not be an issue, but something to investigate further. Sorry to be vague, but I'm on the north side and am not as intimately familiar with S. Arlington Heights.
Good luck & welcome.

My husband and I were interested in purchasing a really nice rehabbed condo in that area 4 years ago and I can honestly say I am so happy we did not. I know the exact area you are speaking of and it is okay, but there are better in AH. Like the above poster said, there are questionable apartments/condos over there on Algonquin and lots of run down strip malls.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to drive around the area yet but we will later today.

We're also interested in a place our agent emailed off of Rand & Kennicott.

Not bad, but driving by I would choose something better. Have you looked at townhouses? If you can afford it, try a condo in, or near downtown Arlington Heights or try Lake Arlington Towne. There are also nice condo/townhouse options in Downtown Palatine and throughout Buffalo Grove.

for the purposes of finding a dwelling, Oakton on the North-Kensington on the South-Kennicott on the West and Dryden on the East. Be cautious of the rentals on Dryden just north of Kensington.

If this is all you can afford, why not consider renting something in the area for a year and then deciding if you want to put down some roots.
