Default Lake Zurich-public transportation

I'll be visiting a friend in LZ in a couple of weeks. She'll be working so I'll be home alone with no transportation. I don't want to rent a car. Is there a bus line or metro that runs in the area? If so, where can I get a map and schedule?
Thanks!

I am not aware of any public transporation in Lake Zurich. The nearest Metra train is in Barrington. You might be able to taxi from there.

Sorry, no public transportation. They've kicked around the idea of adding a bus line, but apparently there hasn't been the interest so far. You can get to the train at Barrington or Palatine (saves a little time, generally). If you use a taxi, I'd recommend American Taxi or another one that specifically serves the suburbs. Avis has a car rental office in Lake Zurich, other choices are in Barrington.

Lake Zurich has no public transportation. If I were you, see if she'll let you drive her to work so you can use her car and get around. You can at least take the car to Metra and take the train into the city and see things during the day. Not alot going on in Lake Zurich.
