Wink We rented a place! Even with our dogs...

Now, I have a question unrelated to the animals. The house we are renting has a great basement(built in wet bar!). My husband is a drummer so I said..you can set up your kit down there. He replied with "No one should put anything of value in a basement"... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me when people have their big screen tv's and such down there including complete apartment units!. We will be on North Nordica in 60634. And before anyone says anything about the area... Thats where he's been living for the last few months and likes it alot... a waY better change from where he was living on S. Essex on the southside...Basements... a nice piece of real estate under your home that is good for nothing? Or?

ok so I don't want the drums in the living room....

if the basement is try and maintained, items of value can be placed there. you might also want to check about a dehumidifier. we run one year-round. our basement is partially finished, pool table, furniture, hdtv, video games etc. no problems.

Occasionally basements in the city will flood or sewers back up, but if it's a finished basement, and it's been finished for a while, you're probably ok.
