we will be movng to chicago over the summer, We need help in picking an area and would appreciate any help. Someone told us about hawthorn woods and from what I've researched it seems like a nice area. We have to children entering middle school and high school when we move a very difficult age to move a child. We would love a downtown, don't know if hawthorne woods has one. Any suggestions, maybe another place that might be better. Our children love dance class, tennis, gymnastics, sports... we are loking in the 800k to 900k. thanks anyone that can give me any valuable information. Oh my husbands office will be in deerfield.

I just answered your post on Illinois board. You didn't specifiy your spending potential there. I suppose your husband probably doesn't absolutely have to be at work at 9 o'clock sharp, so commute issues are not crucial either, right? Taking that into consideration, study Barrington(maybe even North or South Barrington too). You'll have downtown, dance and gymnastics, sports, horse riding... actually that kind of money can get you a place with enough space to keep your own horse and ride it too
