OBGYN in the north Chicagoland area? (Northbrook, Highland Park: live, moving to, delivery)

My husband is currently stationed at Great Lakes, and our daughter and I will be moving to the area after the first of the year. I'm also pregnant and need to find a new OBGYN or midwife for prenatal care. Anyone have recommendations for prenatal care in the Northern Chicago suburbs? The practice needs to be relatively close to Great Lakes, in order for my husband to be able to attend some of the appointments, so I'm thinking as far south as Highland Park or Deerfield, west as far as Mundelein and as far north as Gurnee, if that helps give an idea of the travel distance we'd like to stay within. Basically, looking to stay within 30 minutes or less of base. I'm open to OBGYNs or midwives, and if you can give any insight or experience about hosptial L&D experience as well, it would be much appreciated.

I will strongly recommend DR STEPHEN VALFOR. He is out of Highland Park Hospital and is an amazing man. I am an ex nurse and very fussy about docs. He delivered the last of my three and it was the most positive expericence I have had, and that is speaking as one who worked in delivery before I delivered. North Shore Women's Health Center in Highland Park. Dr. Adis, Dr. Becker, Dr. Hughes...they are all wonderful. I'm 34 and I've been going there since I was 16. The nurses are wonderful as well.

I highly recommend Jennifer Friedman with Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group in Northbrook. The website is NMPG.com. All of the group's doctor's are very professional, attentive, and they do a great job of keeping track of records electronically and knowing you and your history at the start of each visit.
