Default Schaumburg Apartments

I'm moving to the Schaumburg area this summer and will be living in an apartment to start out with. I am visiting the area this weekend to get an idea of what is available. Does anyone have any recommendations for certain complexes or warnings? I've been checking out apartment reviews online and some of them are too glowing to be trusted and some are really scary! Hoping someone can give me an honest assessment of where a nice, safe place to live would be. I'm also open to looking around the area such as Roselle, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Rolling Meadows etc. I will actually be working in Hoffman Estates but don't want to live there or west of there. I am looking for a 1 bedroom and I am already aware that I could pay up to $1000 for a nice place so that's not a detail to be concerned with. Any help you could give would be great!!
Thanks!
JC

In Schaumburg - Village in the park is a great complex. I don't live there, my BIL does. Decent sized one bedroom, friendly neighbors, great ammenities and it's not as expensive as some of the others in the area. He moved in about 3 years ago. You might want to check it out.

Question Post Apartment Hunting

Well, I went and looked at some apartments. Since I have more details I'm hoping someone out there can help me decide! I am torn between living in Schaumburg or Arlington Heights. It is actually between two apartment complexes, although I may go back again before I move and look some more. First there is The Pointe in Arlington Heights which is nice, and not very expensive, clost to shopping, clost to the highway. Or, Lincoln Meadows in Schaumburg which is very nice and very safe but more expensive however close to shopping and the highway again. Anyone have any opinions? I will be working at Sears in Hoffman Estates and I don't mind a little commute to be around a good area. There are just soooo many choices!! =) So any advice? FYI, I am 27 year old and appreciate good shopping and good restaurants (which would be why I was very excited to see the areas I may live in!).
Thanks!!!

Default moving to Sears, Hoffman estate too

Hi,

So how have you decided on this matter? I'll join Sears this Summer too, but now still very much debating whether to live downtown or in the suburb (now more incline to the suburb)
