Personally, I'm partial to Salerno's on Grove in Berwyn Yum! Roberto's in Elmhurst is also outstanding.

I heard Salerno's in Berwyn moved to Oak Park. Saturday I went to the Salerno's on Grand a couple of blocks east of Ashland and it's the same people as the original Salerno's, same pizza too, hasn't changed in 40 years.

There's actually 2 Salerno's. The one on Roosevelt moved to its present Oak Park location about a year ago from the Berwyn side. The Salerno's on Grove in Berwyn is still there.

Did anyone notice that the OP is going to be way up by the naval station? I don't know that recommendations of pizza joints in Berwyn and Lincoln Square are particularly useful.

If you're looking for Chicago-style stuffed pizza, places near the naval base to look into would be Gino's East in Libertyville, Lou Malnati's in Libertyville or Gurnee, or Giordano's in Gurnee. If you want Chicago-style thin crust, I suggest either the aforementioned Giordano's in Gurnee or Quonset in Waukegan.

Actually there's several Salerno's including ones in West Town, St. Charles, Burr Ridge, and I forget where else.

Yeah, the Quonset in Waukegan, I haven't been there in a while but I used to go there sometimes and it was pretty good. Luigi's in Waukegan was good too but it's been some time since I've been there.
