Have there been 4 murders there in recent weeks or did I not hear the number correctly on the news this morning? Time to step up the police presence. |

When you asked this question there had been four murders covering three episodes. Today a fifth was reported -- apparently a fourteen year old stabbed his step dad to death after getting scolded for not doing his homework, or so the story goes. Hard to blame bad parenting in this case.

Just another 10 day span in the south suburbs...Argh.

Not really. Before this five murder spree, there had been only three murders in ten years in Country Club Hills. This is weird--even for that town.
I wouldn't move there, though. |

No, I feel safe there. It's generally a very safe town. But culturally it's not what I would want for my family, and the schools aren't very good. And if they don't fix the schools, it will only get worse in the future. |

yeah, you're right but I meant south suburbs as a whole. including like 36 towns. there's a murder for every day of the week IMO when you include Harvey, Chicago Heights, Ford Heights, etc. to country club hills and all the others. certainly the southern burbs have more murders than those towns west and north of chicago (i would live in one of those areas before the southern burbs). |
