Lots of Hispanics in Lombard. Anywhere that has minorities in Du Page county is considered a dump. It's just fine.

There are some Hispanics in Lombard and theyre quiet and the town is safe. Your DuPage County bashing is getting old. Enjoy Houston and leave us alone.
Firetop, Lombard is a decent place to live. Its not fancy nor is it a dump, its a great town to raise a family in. Overall its quite safe, and youre in the middle of everything in the world (shopping, dining, arts, parks, etc). Id recommend Wheaton or Glen Ellyn over Lombard, but theyre more expensive. Other nearby options that Id include are Naperville, Lisle, Winfield, Warrenville.

Well your opinion is quite correct. I'm sorry we don't see eye to eye about DuPage county. But I stand by my opinion. It's not exactly welcoming to other races.

In addition to Steve-o's honest assessment, I think that a lot of what is appealing about Lombard is going to differ depending on where in the town you are looking and what you want out of a place to live. If schools are a top priority there may be better options, but they will almost certainly be more costly too.
Honestly Lombard has a lot to offer, as do MOST towns near it -- draw a circle around Lombard and there is not a bad choice in any direction, though all the standard disclaimers are true: avoid too areas with too many rentals, check out the schools, determine what you are willing to save on...
Good Luck!

Houston is a Hillbilly city (Texians being a Hillbilly subset), some find that more attractive than DuPage, a place with few Hillbillys.
