Default Need Information on Lake county,il

I was recently looking up statistics for lake county illinois, one site stated that lake county's median household income is in the 80,000 range, if this is true and the median household income continues to go up, do you guys think that home prices in lake county will skyrocket? Also i was considering buying a home in the town of Hawthorn Woods illinois but read some stories about the 53 extension and am afraid that my home value will go down if i do buy it.

Home prices in Lake County have fallen just like anywhere else in the country right now. I had a home on the market June 2007 and in 2 months, when the housing mess started had to lower the price 10% to even get showings. The same houses that are for sale now were most likely for sale then. There's many to choose from.

Hawthorn Woods is a lovely area, and borders Long Grove and Lake Zurich. Rt53 was supposed to go through Long Grove and cross Cuba Road last I heard. When you drive on Cuba Road, there are two yellow lines that show where it's supposed to go. Long Grove has been fighting it forever and now that they've made some improvements to Rt12, the congestion seems a bit better but it's still a traffic mess there. Lake County allowed far too much development without road improvements along the way and now they are paying for it.

As a resident of Lake Zurich for 15 years, I was really glad to move away and not have to deal with any of the traffic congestion anymore.

I'm not sure where they got their 'median income' numbers from, but there's plenty of middle income families and hard working people in Lake County that don't make that kind of money.
