"What has happened to Waukegan" It's great Victorian mansions are all filled with illegal immigrants and section 8-ers

This could have described Lincoln Park in the 1970's.
Okay, what happened to Waukegan. Businesses closed down, the middle class left and the harbor was found to be full of contanimants. The schools declined, more minorities moved in, and more middle and upper working class people left.
The harbor has been cleaned, all thats waiting is for new companies to move in, some cool gay couples to open some shops & restaurants, and then people will start complaining that gentrifying is dislocating the underprivledged. The fact that Waukegan has those cool victorian mansions means that its an areas which can be gentrified.

Why yet another thread about this? Can't we just merge all the "What Has Happened to Waukegan" threads?
And you know for a fact that all the great Victorian mansions are filled w/illegal immigrants and Sect 8-ers?

As somebody suggested, I reworded my new OP to get more responses, as my first thread was too confusing for many of you. I see all you critters want to do is attack me and label me a racist, that is all you are good at doing in Illinois, isn't it? Playing the race card!
Why don't you guys bleed a few hundred thousand more jobs to the South and I bet your responses to simple questions like "What happened to Waukegan" will not be laced with animosity, but rather, problem solving strategies!
