Default Bolingbrook schools

I'm moving to Bolingbrook in a couple months. We are looking at Bolingbrook HS or Plainfield East HS. Any comments or concerns about either?

Neither makes the USNews list, and that is a good indication of academic quality.

Best High Schools Search - US News and World Report

The school nearest to Bolingbrook, geographically, is Naperville Central. Naperville Central High School: Best High Schools - USNews.com

Prices are probably higher there, but if school is important it may be worth it.

Parts of Bolingbrook are in the Downers Grove school district. You might want to check that out.

Plainfield East High School is brand new, and thus, wouldn't have been around long enough to have any sort of ranking at all. It draws from a pool of moderate to upscale subdivisions, so it should be pretty solid. My son attends an elementary school in the Plainfield district, and they've been great so far. http://www.learningcommunity202.org is the Web site for the district.

I've noticed Realtors tend to use District 202 (Plainfield East HS) as a strong selling point for Bolingbrook houses, which sets off some alarms for me.

Neither are as good as some like in Naperville and Downers Grove, but I wouldn't consider it as bad as some other areas. Even Bolingbrook HS is relatively new, being rebuilt a few years ago to a larger facility. District 202 schools are always boasted about their quality, but it's the quality of the student as well which measure they're individual success.
