Why is West Chicago so far away from the real thing?
Shouldn't it be where Cicero is?

Why is South Chicago a Chicago neighborhood? Shouldn't it be where Calumet City is?

Its all due to the expansion of the universe. At the time of the big bang, West Chicago was located where Oak Park is today. In a few billion years, West Chicago will be where Dekalb is today.

You'll be relieved to know that there are, in fact, evergreen trees located in some of the parks in Evergreen Park!
