Default Georgetown Subdivision, Aurora, IL

Hi!

I'm thinking of making an offer on a house in the Georgetown Subdivision in Aurora near Eola and Ogden. Does anyone know how that area is? Is it far enough away from downtown Aurora to be safe? Anyone live there and able to give me an idea on how it is?

Thanks!

Reagan

It is really more like Naperville, and safety is totally different than sections of Aurora near its downtown or eastside.

I have co-workers who live there, they enjoy the closeness to the Rt. 59 Metra station, short bus ride or bicycle ride if weather is OK, otherwise they bum a ride with friends who have parking...

Some discontent with regard to "value" -- taxes are high and services are probably not as good as for other parts of Aurora or Naperville, but everything is a trade-off, as purchase prices are lower...

It is very safe and a pretty nice neighborhood in general. I've lived a mile or so north on Eola near McCoy for the last 4 years and have loved it. Hope the deal works out for you!
