Default Metra reverse commuter west suburbs: where to park at night? v. park, lombard, college ave?

Hi all,

I'm moving to the city in a couple of months and will be taking the Metra (union pacific west) to work. I would like to know if anyone knows what is the best place/city to park ( from 4 pm to 7 am) along the Metra union pacific west line . I work in Glendale Heights and could park anywhere in villa park, Lombard, glen ellyn or college avenue. ( Lombard would be the easiest for me)
I know the Lombard station lots have restricted parking after 5 am, any alternatives?

Your help is appreciated!!!

I am on the UP Northwest Line so I cannot help you.

What I would do is to call the Lombard city hall and ask this question as I am sure that there are a number of people in your position. For example, Crystal Lake allows overnight Metra Parking in several lots. Woodstock does not. It is a city by city decision. And you can expect to pay some parking charge depending on the community.

Another alternative is to rent a garage in that area ... then you do not have to worry about sweeping the snow off the car.
