IMO Westchester is a decent moderate middle class community- it gets better once you pass Mannheim going west on Cermack. I think Westchester is comparable to it's neighboring suburb to the southeast LaGrange Park in terms of community diversity, however what Westchester clearly lacks is a decent community high school so most students in the area attend St. Joesph HS located in Westchester- those who aren't attend private school go to Proviso West in neighboring Hillside
