Default naper settlement (naperville= or blackberry farm (aurora)

my sister will come in april with her 3 children (10,8,4). I would likre ti visit with her one of these two "parks".

Which one of this park will be the best for kids and parents. A little bit of history and fun together??

thank you for your advice

My daughter's school recently had a field trip to the Naper Settlement. She's 11. She enjoyed it and learned a lot. Google it to see what there is to do because her class had an arranged tour so it's probably different than what an individual family can do. I was thinking of taking her back with my two younger children this summer. There's a website but I don't have the exact name- sorry.

I've never been to Blackberry Farm so no help there. What about Lamb's Farm in Gurnee? It's a fun and easy outing. There's also Great America and the outlet malls up there but sounds like you're looking for something more educational.

Have fun with your sister.

Skip Lamb's Farm unless it's on a weekend where they have a "kids'" weekend with inflatables set up. There's only a small petting zoo and train ride for kids there.

Naper Settlement is educational but interesting. I haven't been to Blackberry Farm yet, but here is the website. Blackberry Farm | Fox Valley Park District

blackberry farm in aurora is not too far from me! they have a nice train ride, pony rides and a carousel. plus, the history stuff. I have not been there in a while, however..my kids are older now. you should definitely look it up online. I think the kids would enjoy it.

You should consider SciTech Museum in down town Aurora. Fun stuff all over the building and hands-on too.

If the weather is bad, the Dupage Children's Museum in downtown Naperville is also fun.
