Honest mechanics near Carol Stream? (Downers Grove, St. Charles: live, shop, station)

I searched the 'burbs forum and only found recommendations near Downers Grove; though I would drive that far if necessary (since good honest mechanics tend to be rare), I'm wondering if there are any near where I live (CS). I have an '02 Kia Sportage and hubby has an '00 Toyota Rav 4, so we need/prefer a shop that is good with older imports--hoping to keep them for at least a few more years. Give the guys at North Gary a call.... That's not the exact name, its something like North Gary Garage, or something like that. They are the mechanics that used to be at the Shell station at the corner of Gary Avenue and North Avenue, and they opened their own shop about 1/2 mile south of there a few years ago when the gas station was sold to new owners. They are very capable, honest and reasonable.

Try Kammes Auto & Truck Repair on Army Trail in Bloomingdale. He's been there for years.
