What is the commute like on 294 average time from Alsip to I-88?

I live in Oak Lawn and only need to go as far as Willowbrook. That's 1/2 an hour on a good day. Starting in Alsip and going to the Regan will be a minimum of 1 hour, and you can probably expect a 1 1/2 hour trip on a regular basis. From listening to the traffic reports, the Tri State is usually crawling along between Crawford and Ridgeland. I know from experience it's slow at 95th and nearly stops along the mile long bridge. That delay usually continues all the way to the 290 extension, which is also where I-88 comes in.

it takes the 89- pace bus half hour to get from harvey to hodgkins so i would say depending on the time of day it might be around half hour.
however the 294 is starting construction and it might be longer there is a faster way might being taking 111th street until kingery highway i think it route 83 and follow it. but during rush hour that way might be slow (but it is a good alteretive) |
