Driscoll Catholic High School to close :: Beacon News :: Local Sports (http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/beaconnews/sports/1508578,addison-driscoll-high-closing-au040209.article - broken link)

Quote:
The Suburban Christian Conference hasn't even played a game and already it has been thrown into disarray.

The league, put together on paper in 2008, lost a key member Thursday when the Catholic Diocese of Joliet announced that Driscoll Catholic High School in Addison will close at the end of the 2008-09 school year.

I know I heard this. So sad. Now they are saying they may work with the parents on something with the diocese. But they are in the red. So I can't see that happening.

I want Driscoll to see another day since they're a an athletic powerhouse with solid academics. It's a great combination. They're (were) a valued member to the Suburban Catholic Conference (SCC).
