Default Taking a job in Gurnee (Couple of Questions).

I'm a 22 year old male who has a 21 year old girlfriend. I'm preparing to take a job in Gurnee, Illinois that comes with a $50,000-$60,000 salary before taxes.

I currently have $10,000 in debt that I'd like to pay off within the next 6-8 months.

Would I be able to manage paying that debt off while still living comfortably in that area?

My current plan is to rent (apartment). I'd also be going to work via bus/bike. My monthly bills would obviously consist of electricity, cable, internet, and groceries.

Do you think this would be a reasonable goal to achieve?

Yes. Though Gurnee is NOT bicycle friendly even when the weather is pleasant.

Prepare to pay for many traffic violation tickets now that they have video surveillance cameras watching your every move.
