I'm sure you can find a live broadcast in a bar... The Globe and Fado have had live coverage in the past, so you could start there if you're interested.

If I had the money to buy it, I'd leave the kitchen alone. It appears to have new counter tops as it is. Happily, it looks like they left the original cabinetry alone.

Here are some more/larger pictures. This is a beautifully designed home. I hope whoever purchases it has the sense not to muck it up too badly:

Agreed, I love mid-century modernism, and this is a shining example. Unfortunately Im not holding my breath that the new owners wont knock this thing down and build some craptastic McMcansion.

I dont get people who call these homes "dated". Folks have no problem buying 120 year old victorians and refurbishing all the frilly ornamentation that was popular a century ago. So why is there such a different attitude when it comes to being good stewards of the recent past?

Maybe it won't be a teardown. Maybe they'll just remodel it with a "soaring foyer," five or six gables, some 9x9 floor tiles and some nice plasterboard over that unfortunate wood ceiling. Yeah. That'd be about right.

There are plenty of people that will find this home appealing. It won't be a tear down without fighting the city. I'll come back here and eat my words if it happens!

Why are there two identical threads? One here and one in the burb forum?

Steve-o,

Try Setanta, they have live coverage on all English Premier League games (and even lower leagues), Scottish Premier, lots of international games and they have rugby too (if you are interested).
Go to www.setanta.com for more info.
I think that monthly subscription for online coverage is $14.99.
If you want to watch the games on your TV you have to ask your local provider (ATT, Comcast...) if they air their program. There will be extra fee, but I don't know how much.

Also I've read that you live in Warenville and I just found a home that I am very interested in there today.
I know that this is not the right forum for this, but ...
The house is on Holyoke Ct, the subdivision is Summerlakes.
Is this a good area? How about the schools?
From what I saw, it lookes very quiet, nice houses around, nice yards...
House is in very good shape, the only thing is I am not familiar with Warrenville and need some advice.

Thanks.
