Hi,
Bolingbrook is ok, you have to becarful where you buy, some of the neighbor hoods are as great as others, but the schools are pretty good, and the park district is awesome. the people are like most others, and there are lots of restaurants and shopping all over the place, close the expreways and toll road, construction can be a bear with the 355 extension but its ok here.

If I were moving to Bolingbrook, I would stay in the parts that attend Naperville or Plainfield schools. I would stay away from Valley View School District 365. Otherwise, the town is good. I would move there

I live in Bolingbrook. I think it is a nice town. It has lots of diversity. There is great developement on both sides of town. On the east side there is a brand new mall with Macy's as an anchor store. On the west side there is expansive home building. The town has seen phenomenal growth in the 24 years I have been here. Some problems as anywhere but there is a strong hold to keep this town as a upwardly mobile burb. It has easy access to a main highway that will take you to the city of Chicago in 30 minutes with access to museums, sports and any variety of activities. As the person said above, the park district is great with good facilities. I raised 4 children here and the last one is in college now. I think Bolingbrook was good for raising them.

Bolingbrook, 30 minutes to the CHI
Bolingbrook is in the boondocks and is much further than 30 minutes from Chicago. I had to go out there to meet a friend and it felt like I was almost in Iowa. It's further than Naperville which is WAYYYYY out there.

Depends on the age of the kids. Naperville has more wanna bes and drug users than Bolingbrook ever did.
Ther's no bad neighborhoods in Bolingbrook anyway.... not for over 20 years.

I don't know if you came during high traffic but I live here and it only takes me 30 mins to get to the Chi on the weekends. Naperville is actually further west and a bit more north coming from the south. If you were coming from the north then you would hit Naperville first. And although Naperville is beautiful, it is very pricey and you better believe there are just as many drugs there and maybe even more because they can afford them more. Not speaking against Naperville though, it is a very pretty town with a great downtown area.

That's wrong. I grew up in Bolingbrook and went to Chicago daily for work and school during rush hour and it took about 1.5-2 hours but without traffic it took me 30 minutes and most of the time I made it in 25 minutes. Naperville is Bolingbrooks next door neighbor so add on another five minutes.
