Does Elmwood Park have a gang problem? (Georgetown: crime, neighborhood)

If you think blacks are ruining Elmwood Park you must be out of your damn mind. Elmwood Park's black population is less than .5%, so why on earth would some "black thugs" just choose EP to start trouble? Black gangs are responsible for ruining a lot of neighborhoods, but EP isn't one of them. Point your fingers get someone else maybe even yourself.

The gangbanger types that I've seen around town are Latino, mainly Puerto Rican. They likely migrated to EP from the city as the yuppies who are moving in to places like Humboldt Park likely chased them west. I've seen an increase of black people around town but they are older black people in their 30's and 40's who dress like average people. If the economy gets worse though with more foreclosures, I can definitely see more blacks and Latinos moving in. As a white guy, I have a problem with it because a lot of people in those cultures are loud and play the race card against white people whenever they can. I prefer to not be around them at all but it seems like you can't avoid them nowadays. Thugs often turn majority black and Latino neighborhoods to garbage so some people from their groups then flee to majority white areas until they eventually drag down the property values there and the cycle will likely keep repeating itself until they dominate everywhere because they tend to have 3x the kids that white people do. Now is a very frustrating time to be a non-liberal, white European in this country.

I'm glad you asked that question smart boy...

Let start off by saying that I'm not familiar with Dubuque, but if Dubuque is anything like Iowa City or Cedar Rapids which are both over 85% white then you would know that both of those cities have had an increase of black residents because of low income housing. It's no secret that low income and high crime go hand in hand, but this isn't about any of those towns- it's about Elmwood Park At this moment black gangs aren't responsible for the change you see in your neighborhood. EP's low income residents equal 5% of it's population and blacks only represent .5% of the population, so crime and blacks aren't synonymous in the village of Elmwood Park.

Another thing that makes me furious is that I've also seen some openly harass attractive white women who live in EP by yelling things like: "What's up, white girl" out their car window. Many of their own women aren't attractive so they go after our women and it seems that more and more are making bad choices and going for black or Latino men because of what the media is doing. Funny as it sounds, it's become painfully obvious that the media wants white men to either be gay, mix with brown-complected women that many of us aren't attracted to and that also aren't attracted to us or be alone so we don't procreate to have any more white kids. Straight white males are the most oppressed group of people in this country right now by far and a lot of us are being abused from all directions.

I think think the whole interracial thing is more white womens choosing. They do not feel the constraints of past societal norms.
