I have noticed recently that if anything goes wrong anywhere everyone starts yelling "Section 8" before they even read the rest of the story. They must be printing vouchers faster than money Washington for almost every non-exclusive neighborhood to be so completely overrun by Section 8ers. I also marvel at the incredibly detailed knowledge some people have on where each voucher holder lives. I've been trying to find out if the new renters up the street are section 8ers for two months. It's very hard to find this out.

Section 8 is a stupid program that will ruin a neighborhood or two and make others suck a good bit more. I doubt that it will ruin the country.

Look, I'm not going to sit here and deny that there is a problem with crime in some black neighborhoods. I'm also not going to pretend that some blacks on welfare that use Section 8 tend to cause problems with violent crime and drugs where there were none previous to their arrival. I do have a problem with people like you that don't differentiate between those aforementioned low class citizens and those of us that are nothing like that. The fact is that most black people are no different than you and your "regular working-class Joe" brethren. People like my family and me (working middle class blacks) don't want to live near those kinds of people either. Neither do we tolerate nor excuse their lifestyle.

It's more politically correct and socially acceptable to say "Section 8" than to say "black people" or "Mexicans".
