Default What's up with Hanover Park?

Any residents on here? Anyone going to the meetings? What can we do to take our town back?

This recent murder is South Hanover is way too close to home. Kudos to the HPPD for the recent arrests.

Its all the section 8 inner city trash that is ruining this town. Thank Mayor Daley for making Chicago so expensive to live in.

We've had to deal with them long enough here in the city. About time someone else took a turn. I've got a few dozen neighbors in woodlawn still that I wouldn't mind sending your way.

Yes, Ronald O'Rourke. Typical Section 8 trash.

I read about him this morning. This dude is creepier than a whole building of section 8ers. What a total sick freak.

He is described as a "life-long crack addict". That's really, really sad. Well, it would be sad if he hadn't brutally stabbed an innocent woman to death. Now he's just a monster.

This is the same thing that's happening in every suburb with affordable rental properties. Let's face it, cheap apartment buildings anywhere within 100 miles of Chicago are going to have some problems in the coming decades. But this doesn't mean that the towns that house them are going to completely flip into ghetto-dom--especially if the cheap apartments only make up a small fraction of all housing.

In a way I'm relieved none of the homicides were random killings. All were gang related or the killer knew the victim. I'm all for all the gang members killing each other but it's sad to hear about the domestics and this poor lady. Hope these events will open the eyes of everyone in the entire area before it spreads to other towns.
