I grew up in a hood like that. We were respectful of property and flowers, but were always running thru yards. Never dawned on me that someone would care. Except for crabby ol Mrs Wigler.
While I'm not the type to be the angry stay off my lawn neighbor, if kids climbing the fence and such has caused damage he had to repair he has every right to be annoyed.

Also, when I'm in the privacy of my backyard I don't want some kid hopping over.

Lastly, as someone who owns dogs, dogs are territorial. If your kid comes in my yard and gets bit, even though he was somewhere he shouldn't be I gurantee your gonna be trying to get me to pay medical bills and trying to get my dog put down even though my dog has every right to be in the yard undisturbed

Last year my fence was broke and I just fixed it without saying anything, I always see bikes set up against it and balls being hit againt it. The parents are outside but they don't care when these things are hitting the fence. This summer the new thing is the kids are climbing the fence for their balls, What can I do to make this stop? The parents don't seem to care and when they are approached they just say this is a kids neighborhood I have to deal with it? They can fall and my fence can break! Well this is my property. I am a reasonable person, love kids and I will give their ball back if they ask - just don't climb my fence, stay off my property and I don't want anybody getting hurt. This could be a nice neighborhood if everyonce treats everyone nicely and no disrepecting. Any help or suggestions would help. Maybe it won't help since they don't care anyway.
razor wire and land mines. Wait, someone could get hurt.

Talking Keeping them off the fence.

To keep kids off the fence, get some automotive red, tacky grease. It's non toxic and inexpensive. What it is is really clingy, slippery grease. Paint the top of the fence with it. It will make it very difficult to climb plus it leaves very visible evidence behind. It's not impossible but it is difficult to get off.

As for the bikes and balls, get some of those sticky pads for pests. Place them in an oven safe jar and heat them until the coating melts. (It's a form of wax). Use a mitt to hold the jar and get a long stiff paintbrush. Paint the stuff on the fence, especially where wear indicates impacts. When it cools, anything that hits it will either stick or come back sticky. Also difficult to remove. The point being is they'll get tired of getting it off their bikes or ruining their baseballs, tennis balls, etc.
