Need a little help expanding my waistline lol
I would like to know of any good suggestions for restaurants and upscale retail in the Country Club Hills, Olympia Fields, Flossmoor, and Homewood areas?
I am an absolute coffee lover. I've already found Caribou and Starbucks in Cherry Creek. What else is 'round?

I shop at Bella Vita in Homewood and Poppies in Flossmoor for home accessories. The Flossmoor Brewery (Flossmoor Rd., at the Metra) is a fun place for lunch or dinner and Asian Harbor, great sushi bar, (Ridge, just east of Dixie) and Bamboo Blue (al fresco dining) are both great locations for dinner. You should also check out homemade peach icecream, a summertime delight at Mitchell's on Dixie Hwy, just south of 183rd.

Favorite Chinese: Rickshaw in Homewood (though it's only takeout)
Favorite South Suburban Pizza: Sanfrantello's in Glenwood

The hands down winner is Aurillio's pizza in Homewood. It is an institution. People who relocate all over the country come back to Aurillio's. I have one by me in the west loop but pales in comparison to the one in Homewood. Be sure to ask for them to cook your pie in the 'old oven'!

My Homewood faves...Aurelio's is delicious. My favorite Chinese is Eat Rice on Dixie Hwy (carryout and dine-in). For upscale Italian, Balagio can't be beat. My favorite breakfast spot is Blueberry Hill. For great wings, go to Lassen's Tap. 5th Quarter is a great sports bar with great specials. They used to have half-price pizza every Tuesday.
This is making me regret ever leaving Homewood!

Flava restaurant in Flossmoor. I think its Flossmoor, right by the little strip mall with the Kingsbury Waffle House. 183rd St? Another cheapy breakfast place is Big Apple, which is on the border of I think Chicago Hts, and ? I haven't lived in Flossmoor for 5 years now, but those places were good. Whenever I come back to Chicago, I usually head to Kingsbury for a good, no waiting in line breakfast, even though the place is always packed!
For "retail", have you been to the new Flossmoor library or the Homewood library? Both are nice places for FREE retail if you're into books, videos, and audios.
I loved my Flossmoor, one of the BEST places to live. Such a sense of community, and a pretty, pretty place, that is walkable!! Have fun, eat well.
We also liked this take and bake pizza place that was across form Lincoln Mall, can't think of the name, unexpectedly good. I know people love Aurelios, but for us, former Chicagoan's, Milano's pizza in Beverly absoutely cannot be beat. We'd drive all the way from Flossmoor for the thin crust, and while we're on Beverly, of course Top Notch.
My cousin lives a stones throw away from Top Notch and does not go there or to Milanos, just not her cup of tea. I constantly chide her! Blasphemy!

Wow all of you have some excellent suggestions. I guess I decided it's time I eat more in my area instead of in Orland . I'll let you guess how my driving experience on 159th was .
LOL anyway, I will check these places out. I hope I will be impressed with this year's CCH Farmer's Market too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh you didn't appreciate the Orland Park hokey pokey of doing 10 mph in between all the red lights where as soon as your light turns green the next turns red and where it takes you 20 minutes to go 2 miles? Shucks, us Orland Parkers get to deal with that everyday.
